Study Tips

Set goals and time frames
Get a diary or calendar and schedule in a time to complete your study, whether it is once a week or once a day. Set a time frame to complete your work as this will motivate you. Set little goals and milestones to assist you in achieving your study goal.

Commit
When you make a time and set a goal it is important to stick to it!

Take breaks
It is important to take breaks during your study to ensure that you don’t wear yourself out. Try taking a walk to the kitchen to grab some water, having a stretch and giving your mind a rest for a little while.

Be organised
Organisation is key to succeeding in your study goals. Invest in a diary and schedule out your whole day to ensure that you can meet your study requirement.

Stress Management

Avoid or change unnecessary stress
If you come across a situation that is out of your control try to avoid it. it is not worth your time worrying about and it will only cause you more harm. If a situation can not be avoided then try to change it. You can change a situation by first changing your attitude towards it. Don’t take on too many things at once, be organised, stay positive and be willing to compromise.

Make time for yourself
Take some time out of your day to relax and enjoy yourself. You can try spending time with friends and family, going for a walk, catching up on your favourite t.v. show or reading a book.

You can’t control everything
Sometimes in life we come across situations that we can’t control. Instead of worrying about these external situations, try focusing on the things you can control and let go of the rest.

Stay healthy
Ensuring that you maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise is an important factor to managing stress. Being healthy improves your mood and helps you get into a positive mindset. Be sure to eat plenty of vegetables and drink lots of water.
