Hospitality Courses

Careers Training Centre offers the following nationally accredited Hospitality courses where students learn through a mix of theoretical and hands on learning which enables them to be successful in the industry. Courses are available with options for Government funding:

Full Qualifications:

SIT20316 – Certificate II in Hospitality:$3100

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of activities and functions requiring basic operational knowledge and limited practical skills in a defined context.

SIT30616 – Certificate III in Hospitality:$3600

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in skilled operations with the need to apply discretion and judgement.

Short Courses:

Careers Training Centre offers the ability to suit courses to specific training needs. Short courses can be pulled from the certificate course subjects so you can learn about a specific topic. Here are two examples of short courses on offer:

SITHFAB002 – Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): 

This Nationally Recognised course is a compulsory requirement for anybody working in a licensed venue. This course will discuss the responsible selling and service of alcohol within the law and how to assess alcohol-affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused. It will detail any fines and penalties that may apply by not the following legislation and explain the requirements for minors, disorderly and unduly intoxicated patrons.

SITXFSA001 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety: 

This Nationally Recognised course teaches the knowledge and skills required to use hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food in the workplace. It will do this by teaching hygiene and food safety procedures and standards, how to identify workplace hygiene hazards, the different sources and effects of food contamination, hygiene work practices for individual job roles and responsibilities, and HACCP practices.
